....takeawalk..thoughts in my mind

i am about to lose it
my sanity
my vanity
my charity
i am about to lose it
out of control
there is no patrol
i am about to lose it
my mind
in the wind
and there is no rewind
i am about to lose it
don´t understand what is going around
as if i am surround
by a unfamiliar insanity
i have lost my vanity
i am about to lose it
if i haven´t all ready
time doesn´t seem steady
I AM ABOUT TO LOSE IT

Elvis ain´t dead...

A song by the Scouting for Girls once said Elvis isn't dead
                                                                    Elvis isn't dead
                                                                    Elvis isn't dead
and damn right they are. Elvis may have passed out quite some time ago but his influence in contemporary music, lit even, style and in this case I want to emphasize dance. The hip movement, Elvis was an innovator, he is to the day one to the celebrities with the highest number of impersonators.
For instance there is a 50s rock n´roll dance5 group that gathers in Yogogi Park in Harajuku, Toky, you can see how this influence is present.
Here are some pictures and more information:

The british t.v. series, Skins is now on its fourth season. Teens, life issues, drugs, alcohol, sex, streets, they take it all to an extreme. What is cool about Skins is how each chapter it is focused in one of the characters within a group of friends, each with its own story. The public gets involved in it, well at least I have laughed or teared.
I do think that this season is by far better than some of the others. Do watch it, if you have some time.

Alvy Singer: Annie, there's a big lobster behind the refrigerator. I can't get it out. This thing's heavy. Maybe if I put a little dish of butter sauce here with a nutcracker, it will run out the other side.

Annie Hall: Oh, you se an analyst?
Alvy Singer: Yeah, just for fifteen years.
Annie Hall: Fifteen years?
Alvy Singer: Yeah, ´m gonna give him one more year, and then I´m goin´ to Lourdes.
Annie Hall, the look, who´s the man now?
Simply fabulous, I am so looking into my new soon to be hat, sombrero de ´pompin´

Inspiration, the photographic composition.

Today I watched Pretty Woman, had been a while since last time I saw it, and I´ve got to say it is definitely between my top ranked, it is amusing and Julia Roberts does an enchanting job.

the CROSS in fashion

1959, The Nun's Story, leading actress  is lovely Audrey Hepburn as Sister Luke, directed by Fred Zinnemann. Watching this film as part of some research for my art class, color film, monochromatic almost at scenes it  seems to me. The use of neutral colors, simple. I liked looking at the nuns vestment, they have a simple cut and simple color, lately this type of simplicity has been calling my attention. It gave some inspiration and ideas I want to begin to work on. I tend to go for baroque, exaggerated, my lema is more is more, yet at times, such as this, I accept less is more. On other basis the cross (see image with Audrey, on the left) is a religious symbol, a representation of Christ.  Yet through the years, the cross has become a trend, a fashion statement more than a religious one. In contrast with the intention given to Hepburn's vestment the two above are not intended for religious symbolism. There are many factors for which the cross has come to be so "common", taking in consideration the amount of catholics-christian believers there are.  I do love how they look, I've got some of my own.
