DEAD FISH SWIM WITH THE STREAM

Why be boring, I always wonder why many people limit themselves to their clothes, why not have fun, mix it up, be yourself, or dress up for a day, perform? "Chica aparador" is a term i use to call those who only fallow trends, that dress exactly as the window mannequins, that have no individual touch to their apparel.

Ushanka, translation, ear hat.

moi wearing my new ushanka hat which i had longed for so much time, keep me warm.  So I am curious about the history behind this obsession of mine. I'll post more when I finish my research.

JEAN PAUL GAULTIER

For Fall/Winter 2010, Jean Paul Gaultier used different inspirations. From Morocco to Togo, Mexico and India, to Greece, and RUSSIA. An eclectic mixture, using textures, and patterns, fusions of distinct lifestyles and incorporating them into a whole. As if it where a reflection of what is happening to our world with globalization.

Could we get to a point, where the whole world is one entity? Where all cultures are merged to create a multicultural culture? What would it be like? Mr. Gaultier, to me, is giving a little taste of that idea.

In my work, I have as a goal to incorporate details from a wide variety of sources and cultures. I aim for a style of styles.
